Puerto Rico cyclone threat eases



A storm system 200 miles north of Puerto Rico has been downgraded to less than a 20 percent chance of forming a tropical cyclone, the National Hurricane Center said Friday.

“Significant development is not expected,” the NHC said in a morning advisory.

Quiet in the East Pacific.

Showers and thunderstorms continue to develop along the Intertropical Convergence Zone but tropical development is not expected.

Accuweather.com said
