When local rock band Irvine set off to Murfreesboro, to open up for three national acts at Zakk's Coffeehouse, we just had to tag along.
The five-piece band left on June 12 to open for Stereoside, Copper and headliners 32 Leaves, probably best known for their single "Sudden Change" (if you don't know, YouTube it).

And after headbanging in a packed SUV, smoking cigarettes out of ear lobes and a ton of silver hairspray, we arrived around 7 p.m. along with Stereoside.
Unfortunately, Copper didn't show — the transmission broke on the transportation — and 32 Leaves cancelled part of their show because of rising gas prices. But the two remaining acts made it up to the crowd and Irvine ended their set with a few fans bowing in worship to the stage.
Afterward, the guys of Stereoside shared heartwarming tales of touring with Drowning Pool and 10 Years — stories wholly unsuitable for print or film — and then ended the night in a "Guitar Hero" challenge aboard the tour bus.
