ECU theater

East Carolina University summer theater will present "The Boy Friend" at 8 p.m. today through July 5 at the historic Turnage Theater, 144 W. Main St., Washington, N.C. Coffee house

East Carolina Behavioral Health's Consumer and Family Advisory Committee will hold a "Coffee House" event from 7-9 p.m. at Hope Station, 2407 S. Memorial Drive. Consumers, service providers or family members who play an instrument, sing, tell stories, read poetry, paint or make crafts can participate in the program. In addition, the development of a Local Empowerment Group will be discussed for those who face challenges related to mental health, developmental disabilities or substance abuse. Call 215-2901.

Wildlife photography

North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences will exhibit showcases nearly 90 winning and recommended images from the largest and most prestigious wildlife photography competition in the world. Ulster concert

The Ulster Project will hold a benefit concert to raise fund for its "Project Peace" at 7 p.m. at The Tipsy Teapot, 409 Evans St. Bill Redding and Mike Hamer, Celtic Collection and Someone's Sister will perform. Dog wash

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina will offer Fluff 'n Puff Dog Washes from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Gold's Gym. Prices are $10 for large dogs, $8 for small to medium dogs and $5 for nail clipping. Greenville 5k Flatout Run, sponsored by the Greenville Jaycees, will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Town Common, First Street. The theme is SAFE (Streets Are For Everyone), with an emphasis on bike and pedestrian safety. The event will be a benefit for a local bicyclist who was hit by a car. Benefit concert

A benefit concert featuring the music of Lexx Luthor and Lus Verlexic will be held from 6-10 p.m. June 29 at Tie Breaker's Sports Bar and Grill, 1920 A&B Symthewyck Drive, to raise money for Dawn Berkey, who has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Wine tastings

Beef Barn, 400 St. Andrews Drive, will hold its weekly "Drink Wine With Bob Thursday" wine tasting from 5:30-7 p.m. Beef Barn owner and wine expert Bob Simon selects six wines for the tasting. The Greenville Industrial-C.M. Eppes High School Alumni Association will present a gospel reunion festival at 7 p.m. July 4 at the J.H. Rose High School Performing Arts Center.
