Woman arrested in assault of man

Greenville Police Department officers responded to a report Friday of a 47-year-old man being cut on the arm by his girlfriend at his home on Chesterfield Court, resulting in minor injuries.

Officers arrested Deborah Denise Wilson, 37, of the same address and charged her with assault with a deadly weapon and misuse of the 911 system. Wilson was being held without bond Friday at the Pitt County Detention Center.

Woman assaulted

Officers investigated a report that a 22-year-old woman was assaulted by someone she knew Tuesday at the Sheetz convenience store at 2100 County Home Road, resulting in minor injuries. The assailant reportedly pointed a gun at the woman in the assault.

Fire probed

Officers investigated a suspicious fire Thursday beside the United Pentacostal Church at 2950 S. Memorial Drive. A teenage boy observed pine straw burning next to the church and reported it to authorities. Four air conditioning units and a vinyl overhang were reported damaged.

Guns stolen

Someone reportedly broke into a 64-year-old man's home in the 1900 block of Hyde Drive on Thursday and stole a .45 caliber handgun valued at $400, a .357 caliber handgun valued at $350 and a leather holster valued at $100.

Home break-in

Officers investigated a report that someone broke into the home of a 30-year-old woman Thursday in the 4100 block of Bayswater Road and stole a television valued at $500 and a DVD collection valued at $400.

Car break-in

Someone reportedly broke the back window of a 23-year-old man's car Friday on South Oak Street and stole a CD player and disc collection valued at $450, a cell phone valued at $230 and other belongings valued at $40.

Man assaulted

Pitt County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report that a 22-year-old man was assaulted Thursday by his girlfriend at her home on W. Gaskins Road in Grifton, resulting in minor injuries.

Deputies arrested Heather Bryant Lee, 20, of 5785 W. Gaskins Road and charged her with simple assault.

ATV stolen

Deputies investigated a report Thursday that someone stole a Honda all-terrain vehicle valued at $2,500 from a 36-year-old woman's home in the 2300 block of Stokes Road.

Water pump theft

Someone reportedly stole a gas-powered water pump valued at $600 from a 56-year-old man's home in the 200 block of River Bank Lane.
