Literacy luncheon successful

The Daily Reflector

Tuesday, July 01, 2008

The seventh annual Luncheon for Literacy was held at Outback Steakhouse Monday. More than 300 tickets were sold for the luncheon, which was rescheduled from Thursday because of Greenville Utilities' boil-water alert last week. Ticket holders were served a meal of Caesar salad, chicken on the barbie, garlic mashed potatoes or rice, cheesecake with raspberry topping and tea. Proceeds benefited Literacy Volunteers-Pitt County and The Daily Reflector's Newspapers In Education program.
